If shattenkirk is down to play for oilers. Then I say they should go for it, tons of assets at forward. Even next years first rounder. With shattenkirk on the team they surely can't be a bottom five team, can they? |

I thought it would be a 1st and Spooner, for Shatty. Both 1st rd's and Pasta? Glad Donnie didn't buckle and do that.
Not sure what Fowler would take at this point... also, not too crazy about dealing 1st for next year, cuz who knows how it will all turn out for my B's. |

The asking price is ridiculous for a guy with one year left until he's ufa. If they'd let teams talk extension then it might be worth it to pay that much. |

Had to look it up, cuz i had no idea... but Shattenkirk's best finish for Norris > 15th. That's with scoring 44pts in 56 GP a few years back. Kind of alarming, no? |

Today will be a fascinating day. The teams are all checking back into their offices after traveling home from Buffalo...Calls are just now starting to be made - Eklund
Yes, because NHL GMs do not carry their cell phones on Sundays. |

If they get Shatty and end up bottom five again next season they should be forced to fold. |

It's absolutely ridiculous that Lindros isn't in the HHOF already! For a seven or eight year stretch he was the most dominant player in the game. I believe he's currently 19th all-time in PPG; hopefully they do the right thing and elect him. |

Are the Blues crazy enough to think Shattenkirk is a young Al Macinnis or something of that caliber? If so, wow...to ask for Larkin is just insane.
In regards to Eric Lindros, I still don't believe he should be in the HOF. If anything, I'm of the opinion that Chris Osgood deserves to be in the HOF before Lindros.
Lindros:
Games Played: 760
Goals: 372
Assists: 493
Points: 865
Awards: 1 Hart Trophy & 1 Pearson Award
Osgood:
Wins: 401
Playoff Wins: 74 (More than Jacques Plante)
Cups: 3 (1 Game 7 away from 4 in 09)
Career GAA: 2.49
Career SV%: .905
Awards: 2 Jennings Trophies
Yes, I know this is going to be a constant debate as it always seems to be, but the stats are along the lines of the Mike Vernon's, Curtis Joseph's, & Tom Barrasso's of the world, but with more accomplishments to go with it. Heck, Datsyuk has 918 career points, and I don't think he should be in the HOF.
Am I bias? Sure...that's a fair assessment since I saw him play quite a bit, but even still...Ozzie should get in before Lindros for doing more during a career''s time. |

Where did this Fowler rumor start? He is not currently a free agent! Why would Anaheim trade him? ...to sign Holzer? I don't think so!

We wanted Hall or Eberle for Shattenkirk. Not a far cry IMO. Dylan Larkin though from Det? haha. Even from STL's side I wouldn't have even asked.
General consensus in STL is our GM is more useless than t*ts on a wild boar. |

Lindros deserves to be in the Hall for the same reasons Neely and Bure are in it for, plus Lindros has more points than either (plus he has Canada Cup, Olympic gold) |

TB has 4 more day to sing Stamkos.....if not, I don't think there is a chance he is going to to back. Makes no sense! |

I know people get wrapped up in the drama of Lindros's family and dealings with management, but as a player, he's most certainly one of the greatest who has ever played. He was a complete and utter beast on ice. He was Gordie Howe but bigger and faster. |

They’re not completely out of it until july 1.
They still have the 8-year contract trump card.

agree 100%. Gotta figure if he wasn't remembered for being such a jerk, especially at the draft, he would be a shoo in. Look at Bure, injuries didn't ruin his hall chances. |

That's insulting to Gordie to put the 2 in the same sentence. |

Too hard to compare a goalie to a Center.
Lindros was a dominating NHLer whose numbers are in line with other HOF and had he not been injury prone and career cut short, this wouldn't even be a conversation.
Still, as mentioned, he has better numbers than guys already in.
